Founder and CEO, Beautycounter
In 2013, Gregg Renfrew launched Beautycounter, a Certified Benefit Corporation leading the way to better beauty, putting performance and health first. Before launching Beautycounter, whose truly innovative skin care and beauty products set a new health and safety standard, Gregg had already established herself as a retail leader. She is regarded as a forward-thinking entrepreneur and trusted adviser who can turn concepts into thriving businesses; she sold her successful bridal registry company, The Wedding List, to Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where she served in executive management. Gregg also served as CEO for the legendary children’s retail group Best & Co., which she reinvigorated through design, traditional retail, and hundreds of national trunk shows. Gregg has led new-concept, brand, marketing, merchandising, and operational consulting engagements with Bergdorf Goodman, Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson, Intermix, Sugar Paper, Lela Rose, and Jessica Alba, among other high-profile corporate and entertainment clients. Gregg has served on the boards of organizations including Baby Buggy, Healthy Child Healthy World, and her alma mater Miss Porter’s School, where she was the commencement speaker in 2014. After graduating from Miss Porter’s School, Gregg attended the University of Vermont and has been a guest speaker at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.
